The last 2 days have been intense work wise, and asides from a tiny bit of progress on the last pieces for my first homework submission for Draw A Box, there has not been much drawing or writing occurring... So it’s still near the start of the week and reflecting on last weeks productivity I think an other challenge to myself is called for.
A simple 3/4 day rotation of exercises, sketching, and writing, with a day off/day of whatever I feel like. I think if I can make this a habit come the end of the month that it will be just as grand and help with my progress just as much as beginning to sketch last week has.

Today I uploaded most of my week’s efforts towards sketching and practicing some “actual” drawing. The results run the gamut if I was to be horrid and critical to myself, along with not having/making time to draw on Thursday technically making my aim to draw every day a failure.
I like each piece, and have learned some valuable lessons and identified some shortcomings in my abilities including using texture, and value ranges .
13 piece in 7 days, more art in a week that the last 7 years. I think I’ll count that as a victory :)

Breaking the Rut

It’s been just over a month hat I have been back into drawing with some momentum, and have almost completed the three sub-sections of draw-a-box’s first homework submission! I have NOT however been keeping to the 50/50 rule :( The change starts today however, with about 45 minutes spent on a trio of sketches of people sourced from pixel and unsplash. After nervously trying to capture the first two which in hindsight weren’t ideal material I think I did nicely on my third picture and really like it.
